Astrology Is A Personality Analysis Tool !

Astrology is a Self Development technique. She is in line with Abraham
Maslow's Need Hierarchy Scale. The Self Realisation of Yoga is the same as
the Peak Experience of Maslow's Transpersonal Psychology. What is the use of knowing everything, if you dont know the Self ?

Philosophers tell us that we dont know ourselves. 25% per cent of us is
known to us and others. Other 25% is known to others, but not known to
ourselves. 25% is known to us, but not known to others. And the other 25% is
unknown to both ourselves and others.

This is where Astrology comes in. Astrology deciphers the Astro Codes and
tells us what sort of a person we are.

We are human beings, composite creatures, struggling for Self Actualisation.
Our positive & negative aspects are at war. Only when we
conquer our negative aspect, can we ever hope to actualise the Absolute Self
!

In other words, our negative aspect is our Enemy. We know our plus points,
but we are unaware of our minus points.

If you want to know about yourself

Trust not thyself, for your defects to know,
Make use of every friend and every foe !

Our friends know our minus points, but being diplomatic, they will not
reveal to us our minus points. Our enemies know our minus points. That is
why it is said " Love your enemies" !

Confounded by the continous web of life and the sorrow of the temporal, Man
wails. Man weeps

The weariness, the fever and the fret,
Where men sit and hear each other groan !

We have to understand that it is our Enemy, our negative aspect, which has
brought us to this present predicament !

In tragic life God wot
No villains need be, passions spin the plot
We are betrayed by what is false within !

Yes, we are betrayed by what is false within us. Lust, greed, anger,
jealousy, sloth, covetousness and gluttony, the Seven Deadly Sins, hold us
prisoners. We have to free ourselves from the demons, in order to gain Self
Actualsation.

Swa Vimarshah Purusharthah - Self Actualisation is the Goal of Life, the
summum bonum.

Purusharthas, the main wealths of life, are fourfold.

Artha - Wealth
Dharma - Ethics and Morality, Wisdom and the Law
Kama - Social eminence
Moksha - Self Actulisation

Chankya in his Artha Sastra highlights the importance of Wealth.

Wealth is the base
He has it has friends
He only has relatives
The true scholar is he !

Without Ethics and Morality, there is no Divinity ! Hence Dharma is very
important.

Every man strives for social eminence and this is Kama . Moksha is the most
important, as it tends the individual to embrace the Life Universal !

In other words, both Indian Philosophy and Astrology are in line with
Transpersonal Psychology.

Jung was another psychologist who drew his inspiration from Philosophia
Indica. His concept of the Collective Unconscious is what Indian Wisdom
calls Brahman, the Absolute !
